It’s fantastic that so many people are offering to help during COVID-19. However, volunteers need to protect themselves as well as the people they are helping.
With this is mind, South Derbyshire CVS has collated some short video guides offering practical information on how to keep volunteers and the people they are supporting safe. Subjects include Volunteering During COVID-19 and Safeguarding.
Whether you are a formal organisation working with volunteers supporting older or vulnerable people by carrying out roles such as shopping, collecting prescriptions and telephone befriending, or one of the many Facebook groups being set up for grassroots neighbourhood and community support, please feel free to use and share these videos.
